In 16 short days, we will be celebrating Jesus' resurrection in a stadium in downtown Seattle.
The upcoming Easter Celebration at Qwest Field is an unprecedented opportunity for our church—so visible, so accessible, and so unlike anything we’ve ever done before. For one day, a football stadium will become Mars Hill Church. Thousands of people will worship Jesus, many will hear the gospel for the first time, and hundreds will respond by
getting baptized.
By God’s grace, Easter 2011 will be a day you tell your grandkids about when you look back on the great works of the Holy Spirit in your lifetime. We certainly hope for more stadium-size services in the future, but this will be the only first. This is the beginning of whatever comes next. And we get to see it. We get to praise God for it. We get to be a part of it.
In preparation for this Sunday, please prayerfully consider what you can give to the Easter Fund. We’ve already paid for almost half the costs. Together we have the resources to pull this off, no problem. What a gift God has given us, Mars Hill! Let’s make the most of it.
