Tonight is a big night

Tonight is a big night for our church. This evening we have a vision and mission night for the entire South Sound region of greater Seattle. Joining us will be the great people from Mars Hill Federal Way, which has recently exploded in growth, along with the core for Mars Hill Tacoma.

Mars Hill Tacoma has been in the works and we're finally having our first Night of Vision & Prayer in the new building this evening. This isn’t just about a new building though—it’s about a church of God’s people taking root in a new city with a hope to see that place changed by Jesus. This night is for everyone who cares about serving the South Sound region for generations to come for Jesus—including leaders from other churches in the area as we love you and would love to be good neighbors and partners.

When I look at our Mars Hill churches, I see a family. So tonight we welcome a new kid into the family. We want everyone there. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Invite everyone to hear who Jesus is and to celebrate what he has done in our lives and what he will do in the South Sound cities like Renton, Kent, Des Moines, Federal Way, Tacoma, and beyond.

As we go into this event, I want you thinking about what gifts, talents, resources, or abilities God has given you that could help build the church here.

Our Executive Elders—Pastors Dave Bruskas and Sutton Turner—will be joining us, along with Pastor Bubba (who will be leading the Tacoma church).

If you can't make it, please pray for your church, the work in Tacoma, and for the people who need Jesus in the South Puget Sound region.

Below are more details about the event and I hope to see you there.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
