A good leader exercises authority humbly, demonstrates passion appropriately, and loves people genuinely.
Don't feel like the best person for the job? If you’re humble, you love God, you love people, you do your best, in the grace of God, it’ll be alright.
God sends missionaries into pagan cultures to bring justice, love, mercy, and truth, so that people who don’t know God will come to know the God of the Bible.
Do you have a terrible job or live in a terrible neighborhood? Maybe God sent you there as a missionary.
Sometimes it requires humility and courage to accept the authority God has given you. Put yourself out there and lead boldly, justly, humbly, and compassionately.
Sometimes the people who feel least qualified for leadership are most qualified because they have the first prerequisite: humility.
God can use politicians, artists, lawyers, and entrepreneurs in ways that he cannot use pastors. Not everyone should pursue vocational ministry.
Mordecai allowed God’s enemies to be killed for their sin, but Jesus came to die for our sin, though we were his enemies.

- What are you passionate about?
- Who do you love? Do you have a particular affection for the people of God?
- Every Christian is a missionary. Who are you evangelizing?
- Where are you stationed along the river of culture?
- What influence, authority, and opportunities has God given you to affect change where you’re at? How can you get further upstream?
