Last week, Mars Hill Students at Downtown Bellevue kicked off the year with a BANG. Students poured in from across the Eastside to commence the beginning of a movement for Jesus.
Dustin Kensrue and a new band brought some loud music as students sang together, worshiping the Lord. As students poured in, leaders scrambled to get more chairs as arriving students packed the entrance hall.
Student Director Adam Ramsey preached on “The Death of Comfort,” exhorting students that to walk with Jesus IS to sacrifice your life. Consequently, he said, this also leads to our greatest joy!
After hearing the gospel, 11 students responded that they wanted to know Jesus and live for Him. Adam invited students to become a part of a movement at Mars Hill Students for Jesus in 2013.
Following this response, a number of students got to joust one another with some epic joust inflatables to end the night. The night brought glory to God and brought the Gospel to students.
Mars Hill Students brings together middle school and high school students (6th-12th grade) to build lasting community, worship Jesus and learn about His love for them every Wednesday from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at Mars Hill Church Bellevue.
If you aren't involved in Mars Hill Students, join us this Wednesday to see what it's all about. We also invite you to pray for this growing ministry, and for the hearts of the students on the Eastside. Jesus is at work, and it's amazing.
