The armory is now our outpost in Everett

It is with great joy that we get to share the news about Mars Hill Everett and their new permanent home! We have officially closed on the sale of the old National Guard Armory in downtown Everett.

This historic building had been used for the majority of its life to equip soldiers and house weapons of war. This purpose will continue, except we will now be equipping Christian soldiers to live on mission spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

Don’t doubt for a second that we aren’t soldiers. As Pastor Mark shares all the time, we are in a very real war, against a very real enemy. That enemy will try anything to keep us from teaching people about Jesus, but we can rejoice in having King Jesus on our side. Even during the signing of the paperwork the entire city of Everett suffered a power outage, and the lawyers almost weren’t able to print everything they needed. But Jesus prevailed and the building is ours!

From Everett Lead Pastor Ryan Williams:

This day marks a historic time for our church as we set our roots deep into Everett and Snohomish County. By God’s grace we will make thousands of disciples and plant many churches from this location. Finding our foundation upon the rock that is Christ, we will launch disciples out into their neighborhoods and will send out church planting teams to plant many new churches for the glory of Jesus Christ.

We will be a church that is marked by our love for all who walk through our doors and love for our city.

The face of Everett is changing and it is in God’s sovereign providence that we are closing this deal at this time. We have a great opportunity before us but it will take the whole church stepping up to get us in a position where we are ready to start services.

Please pray and ask the Lord how you might give sacrificially of your time, talent, and treasure as we still have a lot of work to do to prepare the armory for the mission God has given us here at Mars Hill.

It will require the whole church sacrificing weekends and weeknights, using the skills God has given you, and it will require all of us committing to give over and above our usual tithe to finish this building. We need to raise $750,000 before we can move in, and by God’s grace we’ve already raised $126,000 to date.

Mars Hill, there is so much to be thankful for in this season. Please join me in rejoicing for what Jesus has provided our church family in Everett, and in praying for opportunities to step up and invest in his mission, so we can see many more disciples made and churches planted.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
