Why I’m excited for our College Conference

Your life matters! College is a time when you are hit from every angle with a million different ideas about why you’re living and what you’re living for. I’ll let you in on something, you weren’t created to simply roam this earth without meaning until your heart stops beating. You have been created by the Creator of the universe with precision and care. You are the result of a loving God, not the result of an accidental phenomenon. You have been created for a clear and defined purpose, and ultimately it’s not your career, it’s not to gain stature, it’s not wealth, it’s not marriage, and it’s not even your happiness.

You have been created with meaning as an image bearer of God with the purpose of reflecting his love, kindness, grace, peace, joy, and hope to all around you as you run on the mission of telling everyone about Jesus. We all want our life to matter and to really count. Because of Jesus, it can.

If you’re a college student or college age and you love Jesus or are curious about who Jesus is, you should definitely come to our College Conference: Made Alive on October 18–19. This is also a great opportunity for you to invite friends to hear about Jesus.

Here are 5 reasons I’m excited for the conference

  1. True joy and satisfaction—You want it and it can only be found in Jesus!
  2. Great speakers—We’re bringing in seasoned men and women who love Jesus and want to share the truth about meaning, purpose, and mission for your life.
  3. New friends—You will get to connect with hundreds of other college students and probably make some new friends along the way.
  4. Unashamed worship—Citizens will be leading us in worshiping Jesus.
  5. Affordable price—For $20 you get to take part in everything, get fed on Saturday, and get a College Conference t-shirt.

Seating is limited, so register today and join the event on Facebook!

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
