On October 12, 2014 Mars Hill Church U-District and Mars Hill Church Downtown Seattle will be permanently joining the family at Mars Hill Church Ballard. Commonly Asked Questions

What will happen to my Community Group when we transition to Ballard?

Community is the essential lifeblood of the church.  If you are currently part of a community group that is tied to Downtown or the U-District your group will not change.  Your pastors will work with group leadership (CG Leaders and Coaches) to ensure a smooth transition.

If you are a community group leader or coach we will make sure that we take care of the necessary administrative functions like group searches, coaching huddles, Connect Desk details and the sorts.  Thanks for your patience as we make this transition with you.  If you have any changes in your group that you would like to let us know please email ballard.community@marshill.com.

How can I get plugged into a Service Team at Ballard?

Our hope on Sunday is that we are able to make much of Jesus through the preaching of his word, worshipping him through song and enjoying the company of one another as a church.  Mars Hill Ballard welcomes hundreds of people each Sunday, and there is always a lot of opportunity to use your gifts to serve and be a part of the great work God is doing. Blessing our guests and the church family through simple acts of self-sacrificial service is an act of worship and an opportunity to grow in relationship to each other and Jesus!

Where do I park at Ballard?

There are good options for parking within 1 block of Ballard:

  • At Mars Hill Ballard. The church has two parking lots directly adjacent to the building on the East and West sides of the building.
  • Upper Lot at 1455.  Located directly to the West of the church is a two story parking structure (at the base of the red L-shaped building, 1455).  Parking is available on the upper lot (Sundays only).
  • Parking Garage.  The parking garage next to Trader Joe’s has parking.  Those attending Mars Hill Church must park on the lowest level, P-ZERO.
  • Central Offices.  The Central Offices are located off NW 50th St. and 14th AVE NW.  There is a parking lot located to the west of the Central Offices.  You may access this from either NW 49th or NW 50th St.
  • Street Parking.  There is plenty of street parking available in the area on Sundays.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
