Between Thursday, March 31, and Sunday, April 3, I will be in Chicago for three different speaking events:- The Elephant Room. A one-day simulcast event for church leaders on Thursday, March 31. Six other pastors (Steven Furtick, James MacDonald, David Platt, Matt Chandler, Greg Laurie, and Perry Noble) and I will be having open and frank discussions about our different philosophies of ministry. Simulcast sites are available. Should be interesting.
- LoveLife. A two-day conference (Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2) dealing with issues around love, marriage, friendship, and sex. I will be previewing some new material from my forthcoming book on these subjects and will leave plenty of time for Q&A. This event is NOT just for married couples! A lot of what I’ll be covering will be applicable to those who are single, dating, and/or considering marriage, even if not in the immediate future. This will be hosted at Harvest Bible Chapel.
- Harvest Bible Chapel. Pastor James MacDonald has been kind enough to extend an invitation for me to fill the pulpit for him at three of their services: Saturday, April 2 at 5 p.m. at their Rolling Meadows campus; Sunday, April 3 at 9 a.m., also at their Rolling Meadows campus; and Sunday, April 3 at 11:15 a.m. at their Elgin campus. My topic will be "How to Safeguard Your Marriage."
