This month at Mars Hill Bellevue

As we kick off 2013, I want to share some of the exciting things that are happening at Mars Hill Downtown Bellevue.

We have already had a very busy first week. This past Friday we had our first Night of Prayer with 200 in attendance. This was the conclusion of a Day of Fasting as people went out to eat together after this time of prayer. This past Sunday, we launched Ephesians and Pastor Mark talked about “Who Do You Think You Are?” with close to 2500 people in attendance. With the launch of Ephesians we also started Women’s Midweek Studies in various neighborhoods around the city.

There are a few events coming up that should make their way onto your calendar.

The Gospel@Work training seeks to bring together professionals at Mars Hill to equip them to live out the Gospel at work and understand what the Bible says about their work life. Over the past year approximately 80 men and women has received training on how their daily work fits into the greater purpose of Gods redemptive plan. We invite you to the attend the first single day training event that will occur at Mars Hill Bellevue to explore what it means to live out the Gospel in our careers. Join us as Pastor Dave Bruskas leads us in thinking about how to reflect His character to those who work with us.

Mars Hill has always been intentional about raising up men to lead in the home, as well as in the workplace. One of our commitments is to provide you with the best training available anywhere. This training day is a part of fulfilling that commitment. I’ll be teaching at this event along with Executive Elder Dave Bruskas, as well as several other pastors and leaders from our church here in Bellevue. The training day will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude by 4 p.m. You will have the opportunity to attend the general sessions and then choose two breakout sessions geared towards your current needs.

Thank you for your commitment to God’s mission and your love of His family here at Bellevue. Let’s all lean into the Holy Spirit as we kick off another year grateful for God’s grace in each of our lives.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
