“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Have you ever seen a kid refuse to try a new food, only to exclaim after trying it that it’s “the best thing ever”?
You’d think we’d outgrow this, but we don’t. For instance, some people in the church are adamant that they know their spiritual gifting and won’t serve in any other area of the church. In their refusal, they might just be missing out on “the best thing ever.”
The best way to discover your gifts and talents is by trial and error. Find a place to serve in a church that interests you, and see how it goes. If it’s not a fit, don’t be discouraged. Simply try something else until you find your place.
As you discover and use your gifts, God will be glorified and others will be encouraged.
