A lot of our churches are still seeing the fruit of people being saved on Easter or people who showed up on Easter for the first time and they want to hear more about Jesus. We love that and are excited to walk with them as they learn and grow.
- At Mars Hill Shoreline, a high school girl told Adam Ramsey she’d come for a few weeks now, both her parents are not Christians, and last night said, “I felt like I’ve been running into a wall my whole life, but tonight Jesus showed me where the door is. It’s him.” She was beaming.
- The Federal Way church started a new membership class last Sunday. Ten people in the class have become Christians at Mars Hill in the last year. One woman shared how she didn’t believe in God and tried to kill herself by taking pills. As she blacked out, she cried out to God and asked that if he was real that he keep her alive so she could follow him. She survived and now follows Jesus.
- A kindergarten teacher was considering getting baptized. The week before Easter she called her friend, a fourth-grade teacher who goes to Mars Hill Everett, to ask her for help on the baptism form. She asked her, “This form asks how has your life changed since meeting Jesus, but I have always believed in Jesus so I don’t know what to put. Also, what is sin?” Her friend shared the gospel with her, and she believed in Jesus as her Savior and was baptized on Easter.
- A mom, brother, and sister at Mars Hill Ballard were all saved in the past month. The older sister, who’s in her 20s, also attended church with the family and she was saved last week.
- A high school girl from the West Seattle church was baptized last Sunday. Her grandfather was also in church and decided to get baptized as well after seeing the boldness of his granddaughter.
- Mars Hill Bellevue continues to see new people attend for the first time. On Sunday, a man stayed well after the service had ended. One of the church’s interns approached him and after a lengthy conversation the man confessed his sin to Christ and is now a Christian.
Please pray these new Christians can deepen their walks with Jesus and grow into community as a part of the family at Mars Hill Church.
