“By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17
Kimberly was born into a family where her mom and dad abused alcohol and each other. They constantly yelled at and physically hurt one another. “I thought ‘love’ was when you beat on each other and yelled all the time,” says Kimberly.
Eventually her parents both had affairs and divorced, but things didn’t get better. By age 16, Kimberly had been kicked out of her house and found herself homeless, pregnant, and feeling worthless and unloved.
But Kimberly’s life was radically changed one night when a friend from her past invited her to stay over. That evening her friend told her about Christ’s love for her.
Over the years, Kimberly grew in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her life has undergone a miraculous transformation. Kimberly’s old friends wouldn’t even recognize the woman she is today. She is happily married, with six kids, and most important, Kimberly knows she is loved by Jesus.
Jesus loves you, too.
