Meet the members of Everett
We had the opportunity to have a quick chat with some members of Mars Hill Everett after their members meeting.
MH: What are you most excited about with this new building?
Jessica: I’m most excited about being able to hold classes and being able to hold teaching during the week and just having a home. Right now, Everett feels like such a set-up-and-tear-down church that there’s not this sense of a home, and so I really want the Armory to be just like where we can gather and get together, not just on Sundays, but throughout the week.
MH: What has Jesus been doing in your life here through Mars Hill Everett over this season?
Paul: I can’t think of anything specific but mostly just friendship and getting out more. I live alone—except for my dog. And so coming here has just helped me to get out more—Community Group and friendships and meeting people and giving interviews, all those things, you know.
MH: How long have you been at Mars Hill Everett?
Rich: I’ve been at Mars Hill for a little over a year. I love being at Mars Hill because of the preaching and also people are real here. They reach out to you, and they love you for who you are.
MH: How could other Mars Hill churches be praying for you guys here in Everett?
Grant: Oh, man. It’s probably a cliché—it’s probably really simple—but just pray that people would get to know Jesus because that’s the number one reason why we’re here, the number one reason why we serve, and the number one reason why we’re in this city.
