In January 2012, Pastor Tim Smith moved south to plant Mars Hill Portland, and God has been incredibly faithful in blessing that church. They have had explosive growth in the last year and a half, with Sunday attendance at over 700 people every week. People are meeting Jesus, becoming members, and getting plugged into community.
But this growth, while amazing, has also moved faster than they’ve been able to raise up leaders. Please pray for Mars Hill Portland as they look for Community Group leaders and coaches, Redemption Group leaders, and pastors so that they can continue to do God’s work of spreading the gospel and loving their people well.
