Filthy Roman Sponge

My family and I recently spent three weeks touring Greece, Turkey, and Israel. Much to our surprise, perhaps the place we enjoyed most was the archaeological dig in Ephesus, where roughly 15 percent of the great marble city has been excavated. We learned a lot about the early church there, and we learned what was for me the most jaw-dropping, gut-wrenching, tear-watering fact of our entire trip, which I shared with Mars Hill Church on Sunday in the accompanying clip.
