Easter Celebration Special Offerings

easterfooter Reminder: Be sure to turn your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night, March 12 for Daylight Savings. Now until Easter is the busiest time of the year at Mars Hill. This year especially. We’ve got a unique opportunity to work together as one big church on one big project: our biggest Easter ever. This Sunday, you can help out in a tangible way by chipping in for our first of two special offerings, or online by selecting the Easter fund. Our goal is to pay for the party in advance so that when the day comes we don’t have to talk about money. Our Easter party is meant to be much more than just a large Christian get-together. It’s an opportunity to share the gospel with thousands of people who don’t know Jesus, or who may have walked away from him. With that in mind, we want everyone to simply be able to come and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life we have in him—no strings attached, no plates to pass, no perceived bait-and-switch, and no unwarranted guilt for the non-Christian who showed up because they got invited by a co-worker. In this way, every single one of us can help make Easter Sunday a success. Help pick up the tab for the fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friend, roommates, and neighbors who will hear the gospel for the first time. Give during the special offerings this Sunday and April 10 or anytime online by selecting "Easter Celebration" from the list of funds (the special offerings in Albuquerque will go toward a new building for the campus). In addition, this Sunday you'll start seeing donation barrels at your campus to collect items for Union Gospel Mission in Seattle and Albuquerque Rescue Mission. Our goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of socks, packs of diapers, and travel shampoo bottles by Easter Sunday to benefit our cities' homeless population. Thanks for your generosity, Mars Hill! It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
