There are moments in a Christian’s life when the things you know intellectually to be true don’t work themselves out in your experience. In this clip, Pastor Dave Bruskas talks about such a crisis of faith in his life: when he and his wife lost their only son, David. It was in that dark moment that their church family served as the reminder of Jesus’ love and care for their biological family.
Today, Pastor Dave is Mars Hill’s network pastor, overseeing and shepherding the 14 local churches, a role he took on after moving with his wife and daughters from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Seattle two years ago. For him, the line between fathering and pastoring is happily a very thin one.
