Last chance to give in 2012

Dear Friends and Family of Mars Hill,

I'm grateful for the many leaders God has called to serve his church. We have lots of excellent, humble teachers, and today many of them will be preaching at Mars Hill. Our lead pastors are in the pulpit to preach a mission and vision sermon for 2013 from the great book of Jeremiah to give a preview for what God has in store for our local churches next year.

Today is also the last Sunday of the year, and tomorrow is your final opportunity to give in 2012. If you haven't made your year-end gift, now is the time

This is a reminder not only for our church family, but also for our friends and extended family listening in from all across the world. If you’ve been blessed by the ministry of Mars Hill Church, we’d be grateful and honored to have you participate with us on the mission Jesus has given us to make disciples and plant churches around the globe.

God has provided a tremendous opportunity. We want to make the most of it, and we want to invite others to be a part of it. Here are three ways in particular you can help out:

  1. Set up an account at marshill.com.
  2. Make a year-end gift online.
  3. Pledge to give regularly in 2013.

Any and all of these actions would be tremendously helpful to our ministry and our church as we plan out the year ahead.

I encourage you to prayerfully consider what God might be calling you to do. For a long time now, Grace and I have prayed that God would allow us to give more each year than the year before. He has been faithful to answer that prayer every time, and we have learned much and grown much through the process.

For all who have given faithfully in 2012, thank you! By God's grace it has been the most fruitful year in the history of our church, and I can't wait to see what Jesus has in store for us next.

Happy New Year!

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
