“And all the people saw [the beggar] walking and praising God, and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.” Acts 3:9–10
God wants us to recognize that all good gifts come from him. We should praise our heavenly Father when we receive good gifts from him.
But God’s work in our lives is not just for us! He loves it when you recognize his work in your life and give him praise. He is further glorified when other people recognize his work in your life.
In today’s Scripture, others witnessed the lame man praising God for his healing, and then responded themselves with amazement.
God loves to makes himself famous. He wants his glory to spread through the whole world “as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:9).

- Can you think of ways you can do this yourself or as a family?
- What has God done in your life, and what can you do, that might make others take notice and be filled with “wonder and amazement” at his works?
Prayer
Our Father, please use our lives to display the greatness of who you are and what you can do. Help us be willing, with boldness and joy, to show and tell what you have done! Amen.
