Pray for Mars Hill Schools

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10–11

Read 1 Peter 4:10–11

Thank you that you have given me a gift for the service of your body. Make me a good steward of your grace. Thank you for giving us each different gifts. We pray you would bring a school director for the new Mars Hill Schools, gifted to oversee and guide the establishment of Mars Hill Schools. Show me how I can better use my God-given abilities.

God, make us a church that continues to be generous with our time, talent, and treasure. One of your deepest character traits is your generosity. You have saved us by grace, an undeserved gift, freely and generously given, even when we were your enemies!

We know that because you died for our sins and are actively changing us to be more like you, our generosity will grow. The way you have designed the church is beautiful, Lord! The gifts you’ve given your people work together to your purposes! Teach new Christians to move from selfishness to generosity. Teach mature Christians to grow in their giving as we all grow and better reflect your character.

Where do you want me serving, Lord? What gifts have you given me in order to serve your church? Where will I be most effective? Wherever you have called me, I know you will equip me.

Amen.

Thank you for praying and giving to be a part of our year-end campaign to raise $2 million above and beyond our normal giving. It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
