Pray for Mars Hill Tacoma

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1:3

Read 2 Peter 1:3

Lord, thank you for your divine power that has granted to us everything that we need for life and godliness. We pray that your power would strengthen the body at Mars Hill Tacoma so that they may persevere and remain steadfast through to the completion of their new building in time for the launch on January 12. Lord, remind me that you have given me all things that I need to live a godly life for your glory. Help me to walk in the power of the new life you have given me.

Matthew 9:37–38 says, “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’”

Jesus, as ruler over all things and people, and as the author and perfecter of our faith, you are the Lord of the harvest. We thank you Jesus for accomplishing salvation for us by living a perfect sinless life, being our substitute sacrifice on the cross and rising from the grave in victory. May you send the Holy Spirit to save many people in the Tacoma area from every tribe, culture, and ethnicity. Jesus, we pray for 200 baptisms at Mars Hill Tacoma in 2014. May there be hundreds of stories of redemption that proclaim you as Lord, Savior, Redeemer, King, and God.

Jesus, we praise you for establishing your kingdom on earth and letting us be a part of your kingdom work. We know that you do not need us to spread the gospel and share your love with others so we are humbled and honored to get to be a part of your harvest work. We ask that you send out laborers into your harvest. May you call, establish, and send ten new pastors to Mars Hill Tacoma to help lead the mission and teach your Word. Send 60 community group leaders to plant 60 new groups in the Tacoma area and may people come to faith in every new group. Send redemption group leaders and volunteer biblical counselors to walk with people through the hardest of circumstances. Send leaders for kids ministry, student ministry, and the marriage ministry.

Lastly, Jesus, please send hundreds of men and women who love you to follow you with a bold, contagious faith in the Tacoma area. Send your Spirit to empower us to build your legacy and share your love, grace, and truth with thousands of people in Tacoma. May we see you produce the greatest harvest that has ever happened in Tacoma. We ask this for your glory and name’s sake, but also for our joy and the good of those whom we love who need you. Amen.

Amen.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
