Toward the end of 2013, Mars Hill Church Huntington Beach adopted two classrooms at the school across the street from their then-temporary meeting place. In December, community groups collected 68 brand spanking new backpacks and stuffed them full of school supplies for students at Clinton-Mendenhall Elementary. We shared this story with you shortly after members distributed the backpacks among students of Danielle Rosas and Michael Young, both first-year teachers.
