Year-end fundraiser: How Jesus is using your gifts

Dear family,

At Mars Hill Church we end every year with a big fundraising campaign for a number of reasons:

  • To worship our generous God who gave his Son to save us
  • To finish the year strong so the church is in a healthy position for the new year
  • To meet some specific needs throughout the church

This year we have three specific needs: new homes for our churches in Downtown Seattle and Everett and a brand new Mars Hill church in Tacoma. These new homes will allow us to serve even more people as we help the community learn about Jesus. Together, these three churches make up about 25% of the Mars Hill Church body.

On the heels of last year’s fundraising effort, we launched four new churches and embarked on our most fruitful year ever. As I look at each of these four churches today, it’s hard to believe that they are less than a year old, as each one has grown to develop great leaders, seen hundreds of people get baptized, and helped change many lives. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2013 as we faithfully respond and give together.

It’s hard to give a good reason why Mars Hill is growing like we are or why we are able to do any of the amazing things we are doing, but by God’s grace he has given us all an opportunity to be a part of a church that is changing an entire region.

Thank you for being a faithful church that loves Jesus. As we end the year, please pray with your family and consider how you can participate in the good work that God is doing. There are a few new tools on our website that we have provided to help you:

By signing up for a free account on MarsHill.com, you can 1) Make a one-time, year-end gift, 2) Set up recurring monthly giving online, and 3) Submit a family giving pledge for 2013.

This can all be done over at marshill.com/give

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
