Pray for every member to make 3 disciples

“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” Romans 10:14

Read Luke 5:10 and Romans 10:14

Lord, we know that you want people to hear your word and that you call us to proclaim it. As Christians, you have called us to be fishers of men. We pray that you will use every member of Mars Hill Church to make three disciples in 2014. Bring people into my life you want me to disciple and mentor. Strengthen my relationship with you and give me the boldness and confidence to speak into their lives.

Jesus, you no longer call us servants, you call us friends. This is incredible! And not only are we your friends, we are also your sons and daughters, indwelled by the Holy Spirit. As your children, we get to know and participate with you in what you’re doing in the world. Just like children love going along on errands with their parents, not to serve but to simply enjoy being with them. Create the same desire in me, Lord, to love just being with you as you complete your mission saving, loving, and redeeming people.

Heavenly Father, you are already at work saving people. Can I be a part of that? You are already putting lives and marriages and families back together. Can I be a part of that?

Out of your amazing grace and great love with which you love us, you are on a rescue mission to reconcile the world to yourself through Christ. We thank you that we get to be a part of this ministry of reconciliation, both through declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ and through prayer.

Help me to believe you can and will use me as an instrument of reconciliation. When I see you at work, remind me to simply ask you, “Can I come?”

Amen.

We are doing a church-wide, five-day fast that began at sundown on January 5th and will end on January 10th when we gather at our local churches to break our fasts together. For more information about fasting, check out marshill.com/fasting

Thank you for praying and giving to be a part of our year-end campaign to raise $2 million above and beyond our normal giving. It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
