Our Recent Financial Audit

Mars Hill,

Every year the financial statements of Mars Hill Church are audited by an independent public accounting firm. We are pleased to provide Mars Hill Church’s most recently audited annual financial statements which can found at the bottom of our stewardship page. Our church’s financial records have been subject to an independent audit since 2005 and have been published online since 2012.

Financial statements provide management, creditors, donors and other readers with information on the stewardship of resources including assets, liabilities, and net assets. The audit of these financial statements by an independent public accounting firm then provides assurance that the financial statements fairly and materially represent the financial position of the church, and that the statements can be relied upon. The audit is the highest level of assurance that an independent public accounting firm can provide the readers.

To reach their opinion, the auditors examine the financial statements, obtain evidence that supports the amounts of funds and related transactions, and confirm accounting procedures meet certain standards. Mars Hill Church’s external independent auditors just finished this fiscal year’s audit and issued their report with the highest level of assurance. The auditor’s report and financial statements can be found at marshill.com/stewardship under the Public Disclosure Packet at the bottom of the page.

Matthew 6:20 says, “...but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity in giving, and for allowing us to steward the resources that the Lord has entrusted with us.

Kerry Dodd, CFO

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.

Cheerful givers wanted

Jesus is the most generous person who ever lived. He gave his life so that we might live. As Christians, we give our time, talent, and money joyfully in response to Jesus’ generosity and to help more people meet Jesus.
