Pray for Mars Hill Everett

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7

Read Jeremiah 29:7

Lord, we pray you would use Mars Hill Everett to transform their city and county. Give them a harvest as they cultivate relationships through serving their city and proclaiming the gospel.

The city of Everett has been a dark place for many years and has been seen as a city where sin abounds. Much like Babylon, Lord, sin and the worship of false gods have brought great affliction upon people in Everett. Thank you for making a way for us into the heart of this city and giving us the opportunity to preach the gospel there. We trust that in our efforts to seek the welfare of this city, we will see the light of Jesus break in and crush the darkness that has for so long dominated the city of Everett.

Lord, just as you used your people in the darkness of Babylon, use your people in Everett. Rather than separating from the city and its people, may we plunge right in, headfirst, heart and soul, taking you at your word and proclaiming the truth that will set people free. Teach us to be in the world but not of it, to love people where they are, as they are, while you work in their hearts to draw them forward into your radiant, beautiful light. Lord, burden my heart to sow the seeds of your gospel into the relationships you have given me.

Help us to remain steadfast and faithful to your call, and please work miracles among us as we labor to see sinners repent and believe that the kingdom of God is here. Bring shalom to Everett, Lord.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
