Pray for the salvation of all people

“This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:3–6

Read 1 Timothy 2:3–6

Lord, we know you desire that everyone be saved and come to know the truth. Thank you for being our mediator. Thank you for giving yourself as a ransom for us. Thank you for being a testimony, and please empower me to be a testimony of your grace. Thank you for the training you have made available through faithful churches and Bible teachers, and please forgive me where I have taken that for granted. Give me a desire to study your word that I might be equipped for the work of your ministry.

Father, thank you for your heart of grace and love that calls all people to yourself through Jesus. As you have ransomed us and drawn us near to you, please let your Spirit transform our hearts and give us the same desire for the salvation of all people. Help us to pray, to lead peaceful and quiet lives, and to trust your Spirit to change hearts through the preaching of the good news about Jesus. Thank you that you are not silent, but have spoken to your people through the man Christ Jesus, the incarnate Word. Help me to be attentive to your testimony in Jesus, to trust completely in his finished work on our behalf, and to be a testimony to others of your infinite love and grace toward all people.

Amen.

It's All About Jesus

Jesus was a man who claimed to be God. Think on that for a minute. If that were true, how would it change the way you thought, felt, and lived this life?

At Mars Hill, we believe that Jesus is God. We take him at his word. Because of this, everything we do is all about Jesus. We invite you to learn more about this man who is God and how you can find forgiveness and new life in him.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday service: preaching, worship, and kids. To learn more about each of these, click the links below.

The Mars Hill Guide Leadership at Mars Hill

We value community

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities to serve our cities. Each week, thousands of people at Mars Hill meet in hundreds of small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live. We call these Community Groups—and they’re the heart of our church.
