Lord, thank you that you love and defend women. Thank you that you invite them into your presence and bless their worship of you. Jesus, thank you that you honored and served the women around you during your ministry on earth. You healed women, young and old. You were friends with women like Mary and Martha. Women were the first ones to discover the empty tomb after your resurrection from the dead. Women are included in your genealogy, and you loved and cared for your own mother, Mary.
Lord, bless the Women’s Ministry at Mars Hill. Guide and encourage the Director of Women’s Ministry and all the local leaders as they become spiritual mothers to the women of Mars Hill. Guide Elyse Fitzpatrick as she writes her new book and prepares material for the next season of Mars Hill Women’s Ministry. I ask that you would prepare the hearts of the women who will receive this teaching so they might come to know you better through it. And thank you for the many women who serve as deacons at Mars Hill. Keep their hearts close to yours so they can continue to make a difference at our church. Bless these endeavors so they might produce great fruit in the lives of your daughters.
God, thank you that you are our perfect heavenly Father and that you have adopted us as your children. Thank you for being a Father to the fatherless. Thank you that, as our Father, you use us to spread the good news of your gospel and you include us in your plan. Grow us and teach us to be better representatives of you so that more people will worship you.
Father God, show me how you would have me love and serve the women in my life.
Amen.
