Lord, you are sovereign. You have ordained each person’s life in order that people would yield to your calling. We ask that, as you establish Mars Hill churches in new areas, you would work through them to reach those you have called. Thank you for establishing Mars Hill Phoenix, Huntington Beach, Everett, Tacoma, and Olympia. Please prepare them for their launches on January 12.
Bring the necessary leaders and volunteers. Give them favor with the communities into which they are going, and draw the people of those communities to attend. May the other churches in these areas be encouraged. Create unity among all of your people. May we work together to make your name great, forgetting ourselves entirely. Teach your people to love their cities well and to be an example of your grace. Work in our hearts to desire what you desire, and let our lives be lived in the face of God. May your love shine through your people so profoundly that the world will know who you are.
Thank you, Jesus, for the way you accomplish your work. Thank you for using us to love the people of the earth. Do the impossible, God, and help our unbelief. May we continue pressing on, never considering our work done because serving you is our greatest joy.
